#23 Landon Maxwell
You can't overlook the indoor season Landon Maxwell had after running 9:34 in the 3200, one of the top times in NC. He unfortunately came up with the flu the week of states and wasn't 100% healthy in the outdoor season. Things came together at the regional where he won the 3A West 1600, but took a fall at the state meet the next week. In XC last season Maxwell had his best season yet running 16:04 and took 5th at the 3A State Championship. This year East Gaston moves down to 2A where Maxwell will be in the mix for a state title. If Maxwell has a big summer of training and can stay healthy this fall he could be a top 10 guy in North Carolina, if not better.
