#14 Sarah Bechtel
I think Sarah Bechtel is stronger on the track than cross country, but I think her talent is going to take her far this cross country season and should be one of the top girls in 3A this fall. Bechtel set a 47 second PR last year running 19:01 and took 13th at the 3A State Championships. On the track is where she really shined showing great range from 800 to the 3200 running 2:16, 5:06 and 11:13. Outdoors Bechtel took 3rd and 4th in the 800 and 1600 respectively and indoors took 3rd in both the 1600 and 3200 indoors. She also ran on Weddington's 4x8 relay showing how strong she was both indoors and outdoors having success in each event while tripling on the big stage. I think Bechtel could be in for a really big junior season and should contend up front in 3A this fall.
