#9 Sophie Faircloth
Last season Sophie Faircloth was a freshman phenom for the Raiders. She ran 18:17 as a freshman and took 4th at the Midwest region and 11th at the state championships. On the track Faircloth ran 3:03 for the 1000 and 5:09 for the 1600 taking 3rd at the 4A State Championship in both events. We didn't see Faircloth on the track because she plays soccer at a pretty high level as well, but it's hard to imagine she's as talented in soccer as she is in XC. Even though she didn't run outdoors I'm still expecting Faircloth to come back in top form. She should be in contention for the 4A Individual title this spring.
