Entry Information
Note: All Varsity high school teams should enter the "Varsity" category. Teams will be assigned to the Race of Champions, Seeded Invitational, Red and White races according to their level of ability.
High School Teams (7 runners maximum per team) and Individuals
Varsity, Junior Varsity Teams - $135.00 per team, male or female
Individuals $40.00 per individual
Team Bulk Fee $350.00 unlimited entry
Entry Deadlines for High School Teams, High School Individuals and HBCU Teams
September 25, 2013 (normal deadline) - no late fee assessed
Entries after September 25, 2013 will be assessed a $30.00 per individual late fee or $40.00 per team late fee (for a total of $70.00 per individual and $175.00 per team).
September 29, 2013 (absolute deadline) - no further entries after this date (because all schools must be submitted to the National High School Federation for sanctioning reasons one month prior to event).
September 29, 2013 - Roster submission deadline date.

Admission
How much is admission?
Admission is ... FREE. Parking is $10.00 (free to competing teams and individuals).
Coaches Passes
Do coaches who are accompanying entered athletes receive coaches passes?
No. Admission is free for everyone, and coaches will not need passes.
Course Practice Times
Will athletes be able to run the course prior to the Races?
The course will be open until 6:00pm on Friday for course inspection.

Payment deadline. All payments MUST be received on or before September 29 for high schools. Teams failing to pay entry fees by the due date may be dropped from the festival and replaced by other teams.

Parking
How much is parking?
Parking at the is $10.00 per car for non-competitors. Parking passes for teams and registered individuals will be in packets at Packet Pickup. Parking passes will be available for purchase at Registration Friday, and at the entry to Wake Med Soccer Park on Saturday.
Passwords
My password isn't working, how can I login to the system to view my team's status?
If you have misplaced or forgotten your password, you may request that your password be e-mailed to you by visiting the website (http://nationalscholastic.org/greatamerican) and clicking on "Register for meet" and then clicking on "Forgot?", which is located to the right of the Password field.
Sanctioning
Is the event sanctioned?
The high school portion of the event is sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSHSAA). Certain states, due to various rules, do not sanction the event and schools from those states will not be participating. To see the list of states for whom the Great American Cross Country Festival is sanctioned, go to their web site (http://www.nfhs.org/) and follow the links to sanctioned events. For the open and collegiate portion, the meet is sanctioned by USATF.
Seeding
When will I find out which race I am in?
Seeding takes place by mid-September and all races will be posted online soon thereafter.
Updating Team Rosters
How do I update my team's roster?
Coaches may update their rosters at anytime until September 29 at 11:00am by logging into the Great American website (http://nationalscholastic.org/greatamerican/). Clicking on "Register for meet" and once you are logged in, you may click on "Edit Runner Information" to change or update runner names.

Rules and Sanction
State Sanctions
If your school is eligible to run in its states primary state cross country championship, it is eligible to run in the Great American Cross Country Festival. For members of the NCISAA (North Carolina Independent Schools), they are now allowed to compete with members of the NCHSAA (North Carolina Public Schools) without penalty.
State sanctions have been applied for, through the National Federation of State High School Associations, for the following states:
