Great American XC Festival/Cedric Walker HBCU XC Challenge

Cedric Walkerwas a true advocate for the NSAF....he believed in track and field and cross country and was a valued member of NSAF family who passed away March 12, 2013.

In honor of Cedric's legacy, the NSAF will again host the "Cedric Walker HBCU XC Challenge" in conjunction with GAXC Festival. It will mark the 10th year since Cedric's passing. The 12th edition will have men's 8k and women's 5k races. It represents the only regular season XC competition in the nation exclusively for HBCU athletes.

5k(women)

Entry Fees:

$140.00 per team of up to 10 athletes

$45.00 per individual athlete

$350.00 bulk fee per school

Entry Deadline:

All entries are due by October 1 at 12:00 am ET.

12:00pm- 4:00pmCourse open walk thrus and warm-up

4:15pmMS Girls(3200m)

4:40pmMS Boys(3200m)

5:00pmHBCU Women(5K)

5:30pmHBCU Men(8k)

Packet Pick-up:

**ALL PACKETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON SITE AT WAKE MED SOCCER PARK.

Retail Sales:

Nike apparel will be for sale on course run thru day and meet day.

Bib Number/Timing Chip:

Timing chips will be attached to each athlete's bib number. Athletes must wear assign bib number.

Box Assignments:

Box number assignments will be included in the packets and will be available at check in. They will also be available at NationalScholastic.org.

Results:

Results will be available on RunnerSpace.com, AthleticNet and NationalScholastic.org

Awards

Trophy to team champions and runner up in Men's and Women's race

Medals will be awarded to the top 10 finishers

Top finisher tees to top 10 individuals in each section

Spectator Admission:

Admission is free, parking is $10.00, CASH ONLY, per vehicle entering the park.

Parking will be free of charge on Friday.

Beverage:

Bottles of Gatorade and water will be available to athletes on site.

Medical

Certified trainers will be on site at all times when the course is open.

Lost and Found:

Any lost and found items can be picked up at the packet pick up area at the course.
