Because of a teachers\' strike, Hendeson\'s Greg Williams and Ian Gottesfeld traveled to North Carolina without their coach, but with all the confidence in the world after breaking a tough course record along with O\'Hara senior Steve Hallinan 9/20. The two finished 2nd (Williams 15:50) and 6th (Gottesfeld 16:00) at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, North Carolina.
Jenny Barringer proved that she can run with the nation\'s big guns. She finished in 2nd place in the Seeded Division--the fastest race at the nation\'s largest prep cross country meet.

The Maymont Cross Country Festival kicked off in it's inaugrual year with flying colors, while previously established meets such as Bristol Cross, Great American, and Lee-Davis Invitational had plenty of action happening this past weekend.
Florida\'s current leader at the 5K distance, Andy Biladeau is up north. He will be running with a large number of other Florida runners at Great American--the largest high school cross country race in the nation. Andy talked to Matt Baum, looking forward to tomorrow\'s race.
