The fourth day of the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships didn't have any Florida athletes in the running events, but the Sunshine State was represented in the field. Ponte Vedra class of 2015 high jumper, and rising UNC sophomore, Nicole Greene, came into the meet as the USA Junior Nationals champion. Greene cleared the first three heights of 1.70, 1.74, and 1.77m on her first attempt, and leaped over 1.80m on her second to advance to Friday's women's high jump final.

Before Brandon Cachon heads off to UNC he will compete in one last meet, the Brooks PR Invitational in Seattle, Washington. The Barron Collier senior won the 3A state championship in the 400, anchored the 4x800m relay team, and was the 200m runner-up, helping his team to a runner-up trophy. Cachon wanted nothing more than to earn his ticket to Brooks PR by winning the 400m dash at Flo Golden South, but friend and competitor Tyrese Cooper stood in his way. However, he helped him to a SB 46.99 and the folks at Brooks took notice. We talked to Cachon about getting invited to this prestigious meet, his plans, and much more!

Ceolamar Ways was used to running the 400. Until the 2013 season it was his marquee event. The Nease High School senior decided to work on his versatility and focus on the shorter sprints, the 100 and 200 meter dash. He hoped it would culminate in a state title and a ticket to the Dream 100 in New York City.

Sure she had the times and with that the offers came.  She took official visits to the University of Virginia, Wake Forest, the University of Illinois, the University of Notre Dame, and University of San Diego, but something wasn't right. None of the schools she visited "clicked" for her despite being great schools with terrific coaches and teams.

The North Carolina track and field teams completed their 2009 seasons on Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark. as three Tar Heels were in action in the fourth and final day at John McDonnell Track. Vanneisha Ivy and Dominique Jackson each earned All-America honors en route to picking up five team points for a tie for 47th place. Austin Davis finished 12th in the triple jump for the men who finished with nine team points for a tie for 30th place. Texas A&M claimed both the women's and men's title.

    The best college milers in the business – Leo Manzano of Texas and Brie Felnagle of North Carolina – will be back to defend championships at the 2008 New Balance Collegiate Invitational, to be held at the Armory Feb. 8-9.     Manzano, a senior, ran 3:59.08 to win the mile a year ago, setting up his NCAA championship in the event for the Longhorns a month later. Outdoors last year he was 2nd in the NCAA 1,500 in 3:37.48 and 2nd at the national championships in 3:35.29. He was outdoor NCAA 1,500 champ as a freshman in 2005.FULL STORY HERE
