Girls Individual Honorable Mentions
Maddie Huecker (Lake Norman): Ran 18:16 over 5000m last season. Won the NCHSAA 4A 1600m state title in 4:50. Only ran one 3200m in 2021, where she ran 11:15. Very well can compete for NCHSAA 4A XC state title in November. This is a deep group of girls this season.
Anna Ivanisevic (East Chapel Hill): Ran 18:11 over 5000m last season. Was 3rd at the NCHSAA 3A Mideast Regional. Ran 11:21 over 3200m and was 9th at the NCHSAA 3A state meet in the event.
Olivia Bufalini (Laney): Ran 18:22 over 5000m last season. Was 5th at the NCHSAA 4A East Regional. Ran 11:40 over 3200m in 2021 and placed 9th at the NCHSAA 4A state meet in the 1600m.
Lillian Nasta (Cuthbertson): Ran 18:23 over 5000m last season. Was 4th in the NCHSAA 3A state meet in XC running 18:32. Ran 10:57 in the 3200m and placed 6th in the event at the NCHSAA 3A state meet.
