2A Mideast Girls
Freshman Hannah Preisser (Carrboro) has been phenomenal this season posting a 18:40 personal best, 40 seconds ahead of the second fastest time in the region this season! Junior Sofia Wong and senior Emmaline Daggett, both of North Carolina School of Science and Math (NCSSM), will look to stay up front with Preisser and dip under the 19:00 barrier for the first time!
Preisser will need help if she wants to lead Carrboro to a team championship. Cora Van Raay, Selia Lounes, Madeline Ramsden, and Louise Lounes all have top ten times entering this race and if they can all deliver, Carrboro will walk away victorious.
Durham School of the Arts, led by Margaret Ann Healy and Emma Humphrey, will be dueling with NCSSM for supremacy. Based on seasonal bests, these two schools are projected to tie! So look for both of these school's 6th runner to be fighting a little harder.
Ledford and East Davidson will both look to secure the fourth and final State Championship qualifying spot and are only separated by three points!
