Program of the Year - Cuthbertson Cavaliers
Coach Dustin Allen has delivered 10 state titles to Cuthbertson during his tenure, but he will be the first to tell you the credit goes to the athletes, assistant coaches, parents, and everyone else that puts in the long hours that help make Cuthbertson what it is today. The ladies of Cuthbertson brought the trifecta of state titles, winning cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. The boys took home both of the track titles in the NCHSAA 4A classification.
During indoor season, the boys just edged Porter Ridge for the state title, 45-44. It was almost as close during outdoor track season, as they held off Mount Tabor 57-51.
The Lady Cavaliers dominated the cross country state meet, went on to score more than double the runner-up team at indoor states, and held off a final push from Mallard Creek to win the outdoor state meet 64-58.
