REGISTRATION -Online registration will close on Monday, May 2nd at Midnight. We will release accepted entries on Tuesday. We will have more entries than what is accepted in some events, so make sure you're getting results in so your athletes have seed times. Athletes entered without a seed mark will be not be accepted if the entries exceed the max entries in the event listed below. The event is open to all North Carolina Middle School athletes.
MEET SCHEDULE -
We will have a rolling schedule starting with the 4x800m Relays at 9:00 AM. We may have a brief break after the 100m Dash Prelims
Gates open for early arrival at 7:45am
Coaches report to finishing tent at 8:20 am sharp for instructions, and to report scratches and necessary relay changes; no individual additions
Volunteer meeting to review assignments at 8:30am
First Race at 9:00am
Field Start at 9:00am- open-pit style,
We will start at 9 AM with the 4x800m and will have a rolling schedule from there.
Field event schedule is below. It will be open pit for everything starting at 9 AM except for Shot Put that will begin once Discus ends.
Discus - 9 AM-12 PM
Shot Put - 12 PM-3PM
Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump - 9 AM - 1 PM
Pole Vault - Will start at 9 AM, only three jumpers so will wrap up quickly.
High Jump minimum height for girls will be 3-10 and 4-2 for boys.
For Discus, Shot Put, Long Jump, and Triple Jump every athlete will get 3 attempts and their best mark will be used.
ORDER OF RUNNING EVENTS/ESTIMATED SCHEDULE- will follow standard high school order of events (boys first in each event for hurdle setup efficiency). Following is the estimated schedule, though we will follow a rolling schedule, so events may occur sooner or later than estimated. We will run prelims followed by finals in the 100m/110m Hurdles and the 100m Dash with the top 8 advancing on time.

ENTRIES - We prefer athletes compete for their middle school if possible. We know not all middle schools are allowed to travel outside of the county for middle school sports and want to give those athletes an opportunity to compete. Those athletes will be allowed to enter unattached, however, those athletes will not be eligible to score points for team scoring purposes. If you are looking to enter your middle school team together but not under the school name, you can find instructions on how to do so at the bottom of this page.
Relays will be limited to athletes from the same Middle School. So that portion of the meet will only be open to schools and not clubs unless it is a club team made up of athletes from the same Middle School team.
Teams will be limited to a max of four athletes per event. We want to cater to as many athletes as possible and will determine at a later date if we need to have a maximum amount of accepted entries in events once we have a better idea of how many teams will be attending.

Entry Fees: Athletes are capped at competing in 4 events, including relays. The cost is $5 per athlete to attend the meet regardless if you are doing 1 event or 4 events through PayPal in MileSplit's online entry or a check the day of the event.
BIBS: Each athlete will get personalized bibs with their last name across to wear during the event.

GATE FEES - athletes/coaches admitted free. The spectator gate fee is $5. You can pay with Cash, Venmo, PayPal or Cash App.
Awards - We will hand out medals for the top 3 athletes in each event that will be announced once the results of the event are official. We will also have team awards for the top two boys and girls middle school teams.
Team Scores: We will score the top 8 athletes in every event that is representing a middle school program. You'll be able to keep up with team scores throughout the event on the live results.
Food: We will have two Food/Drink Vendors on site. Southeast Food Vendors and Sunset Slush.
