North Carolina Future Stars: Greensboro Day's Dana Wilson

Presenting our newest feature: The Future Stars Series. In this series, we'll take a look at one freshman or sophomore a week that is making a big impact early in their career, and is showing that they are a star in the making.

Greensboro Day School freshman Dana Wilson is next up on our weekly rising stars feature!

Wilson is coming off a strong week where she took home two first place finishes in the Guilford County Championship at JDL Fast Track. The freshman started the day with a victory in the 55m dash where she clocked a 7.15. Her personal best in the event of 7.06 is NC T-No. 3 this season for all grades, and is the top freshman and underclassman mark. Not only is she the top in NC, she is currently US No. 1 for freshman in the 55m dash!

She doubled back in the 300m running a new NC No. 9 time of 40.52 taking down two seniors who finished 2nd and 3rd. Her mark also sits her US No. 2 for freshman this season!

Wilson is currently NCISAA No. 1 in both of these events this season and even without an official NCISAA Indoor State Meet, she is looking to rewrite the record books. She is currently NC T-No. 5 all-time for freshman in the 55m dash and NC No. 9 for freshman all-time in the 300m! She also sits US Freshman No. 43 all-time in the 55m dash (including official 60m conversions).

The future is bright for Dana Wilson!
