Kicking off our cross country girls teams pre-season countdown at No. 10 is Ashley High School!
Although they lose Paxton Chitty to graduation, this Screaming Eagle squad is looking as strong as ever! Cecelia DiBlasi is back for her senior campaign after posting a 18:53 personal best over 5000m in 2020. She is the No. 4 returner in the NCHSAA 4A East Region and is joined in the top ten returners by teammates Cadence Eder and Natalie Fox. If Allison Phillips can join DiBlasi, Eder, and Fox in the top of the NCHSAA 4A East, this team becomes a lot more dangerous.
The strength in this Ashley squad comes in their 2-5 split. There is less than one minute between their No. 2 and No. 5 runners. Depth is another key for the Screaming Eagles. Mackenzie Farr and Holly Mckee are their 5-6 runners and only have a three-second gap in their 5000m personal bests.
The time is now for these girls to step up and make their mark on the state!
