NCRunners Twilight brought us four new North Carolina Top 10 All-Time marks in total from the Girls 1600m and 800m along with two great fast sections on the boy's sides that were competitive races from start to finish! So many talented athletes within the state have been working so hard to train over the last 14 months with limited chances to run fast and it was amazing to see all that hard work show last night.
Thank you to all the athletes, coaches and parents for making last night possible on a holiday weekend! Also, thank you to Brett Honeycutt and Jason Moore with Metrolina and Gaston Christian on not thinking it was too crazy to have this event added in after already planning to host the NCRunners Middle School Elite Invitational during the day. This event was driven by the North Carolina running community being as great as it is, and we at NCRunners and MileSplit love being a part of it! So many people were willing to help out with things to ensure the event ran well for the athletes and the athletes certainly didn't disappoint!
Also can't thank Mother Nature enough as it looked like it was going to rain the entire day in Gastonia and we did not have a single drop of rain from 7 AM to 9:30 PM!
