Boys Cross Country Senior Class Improvement Rankings

The best of the senior class haven't always been in the spotlight. While Christian Landis (Providence Day School) was a freshman running 16:07, Jay Shanahan (Durham Academy) was running just under 20:00. Fast forward four years and Landis and Shanahan are neck-and-neck battling for the NCISAA XC state title. Defending NCHSAA 3A state champion Walter Sellers (Atkins) was a 19:00 5000m runner his freshman season and kept improving year after year and finished with the #3 time in his class.
