If you were wondering how Chapel Hill would fare in Year 1 Post-Olsen, things went pretty darn well. The program continued to click right along in much the same way as it always has, although there was clearly more emphasis on competition during indoor and outdoor track than in the past. With the new coaching staff settled and a year under their collective belt, expect even further progress this year. The returning talent is very strong - strong enough for the database to project the Tigers as the #3 team in 3A and a contender for a podium finish. The team's top 3 returning runners are seniors, so leadership and motivation should be no problem - this is the year to make it happen before the class of 2015 heads off into the sunset. Chapel Hill always seeks out top competition during the season, and the Tigers have another top-ranked team in their region, so by the time the 3A state meet rolls around this team will be battle-tested and ready to contend for a title - just like they always are.
