4A Mideast Girls
Recent Johns Hopkins commit Katherine Priu (Cardinal Gibbons) will look to capture her first cross country regional title and lead her Crusader squad to victory. It will not come easy though, as Jade Martin (Apex Friendship) a has shown signs they are capable of pulling out a victory. Shannon Sefton (Panther Creek)will lead a pack of girls hunting to break 19:00 for the first time. With her we will most likely see Caroline Todd (Cardinal Gibbons) and Jordan Landis (Riverside).
Based on the virtual meet Cardinal Gibbons is projected to score twenty-nine points and have seven girls in the top fifteen! Kelsey Vogel (Green Hope) will lead this Green Hope squad against Panther Creek, Apex Friendship, and Apex. With only four teams qualifying for the State Championship every point will matter.
Jade Martin's Apex Friendship team currently sits three points ahead of rival Apex. Apex has the smallest 1-5 split in the entire state with only an eight second gap between their top finisher and fifth finisher! A tight pack like that can shake up the team battle and possibly help Apex grab the fourth team qualifying spot.
