Stacked Prep Fields For New Balance Collegiate
MileSplit HQ - We'll be heading up to Boston this weekend to catch the great New England vs. New York rivalries being played out on the Reggie Lewis Oval, but that doesn't mean there isn't some action back home. Despite the meet focusing on the collegiate, the New Balance Collegiate meet will showcase some of the next great athletes on the high school scene. The entire fields can be listed by their US ranked performances this year, meaning the competition will be top-of-the-line. Also included will be two athletes from Canada, who could very well pull out the win. Every race has something to get excited about, and it will not be suprising to see the leaderboards rewritten after this weekend. Check out al the matchups below.

Cain Is Able - Takes Down 2 Mile Record !
There are few opportunities in sports for high school-aged athletes to run in the same venues as the professionals. Massachusetts basketball players revel in the fact that they play their sectional finals at the TD Garden, the same parquet on which the Celtics compete. But, imagine that those kids played their high school games right after the Celtics finished. Or, better yet, at halftime. Well, the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix goes a step farther, not only allowing athletes to compete in the same meet as the pros, but allowing one athlete to even compete against them.
New Balance Grand Prix Live Updates
Milesplitmass will have complete coverage of all the action tonight at Reggie lewis Center.
New Balance GP Live Updates / State Standards
MileSplit NY - As we head into championship season once again, life begins to become all about a number. Grabbing that state standard gives you just a little bit of cushioning at your State Qualifier, ensuring that if you place Top 3 in your event at that qualifier, you are heading to Cornell. Cehck out below if you have made the list, then check back tonight to catch some live meet updates.
New England Prep Milers Ready For National Spotlight
BOSTON, Mass. – Two-time American record-holder and Olympic silver medalist Galen Rupp will continue his mini tour of Boston when he competes in the 3,000-meter run. Mary Cain, the 16-year-old running sensation from New York, will try and make history again when she lines up in the women’s two mile. The atmosphere will be electrifying on Saturday night with some of the nation’s best athletes converging inside a sold-out Reggie Lewis Center for the New Balance Grand Prix. Twenty-four of the finest prep milers in the northeast region will also get to experience the deafening noise that will radiate around the banked oval as competitors in the Boys’ and Girls’ Junior Mile. It will be a stacked field that will include several top New Englanders
The Millrose Mile could (should) be 25% Pennsylvanian again this year.
