Providence Day School's Landon Roemer comes in at No. 10 on the North Carolina Pre-Season Cross Country Countdown.
Last fall, Roemer was 5th in the NCISAA XC State Championship, where he ran his personal best of 16:15. He showed on the track that he is more than capable of dropping into the 15:00's this season. He went 4:16/9:27 for the 1 mile/3,200m double.
He won the CISAA Conference championship in the 1,600m and 3,200m. He also went 1:59 in the 800m, showing he has some closing speed to his name.
He went on to finish 4th in the 3,200m and 1,600m at the NCISAA DI State Championship.
As a program, Providence Day School returns their entire top seven from the 2021 state meet. Led by Roemer, this squad could make a run for a top finish come state meet time later this fall.
