Millbrook sophomore Max DeAngelo next up on our weekly future stars series!
DeAngelo captured his first state title this weekend in the 500m dash at the NCHSAA 4A Indoor State Track and Field Championship. His time of 1:05.92 is NC Sophomore No. 4 all-time! He wasn't done with just the 500m however, as the Millbrook runner lined up again in the 300m. He secured another all-state spot, placing 4th in 36.29.
As a freshman last year, DeAngelo was 8th in the 400m at the NCHSAA 4A Outdoor State Championship. He was the only freshman in the 400m field!
