Girls 3200m Preview

The 7th heat of the girls' field is highlighted by Jenna Hutchins (Science Hill, TN), Caroline Lehman (Cambridge, FL), and Carmen Alder (Pinecrest). Hutchins, only a junior, has broken the 10:00 barrier in the 3200m already, running 9:42 at Music City Distance Carnival. Lehman, also a junior, ran 10:20 for the full 2 mile indoors at The East Coast Invitational and is the defending 2021 adidas Indoor Nationals 5000m champion where she ran 16:53. Alder is the three-time defending NCHSAA 4A individual cross country state champion and also has multiple indoor and outdoor 3200m titles. Her 3200m PR is 10:36 from Music City Distance Carnival.
