There were some big time performances this week! Saturday held host to a couple high powered quad meets while the weekdays were filled with dual's, tri's, and quad's from around the state. Take a look at the nominees for NCRunners Runner of the Week and vote below!
William Mitchell - Millbrook
Mitchell ran a week leading and season best time of 15:47 in a duel meet with Broughton at WakeMed. Mitchell won the race after a late push from his teammate Josh Navarro.
Kaitlyn Obremski - Topsail
Obremski kept her hot streak going with another sub 18:00 performance. Her 17:37 mark was the fastest in the state by over 30 seconds this week.
Murphy Smith - Ardrey Kell
Smith led the way at the Red Ryder Shootout on Saturday with a 15:51 on the state meet course, Ivey Redmon. Smith took down Mt. Tabor's Will Soule and Chapel Hill's top five.
Sloane Fleming-Hickey - Hoggard
Fleming-Hickey won a hard fought duel with teammate Molly Parker at the Laney, Ashley, Hoggard tri meet. Her 18:10 is a new personal best!
Christopher Upton - R-S Central
Upton won the SWAC Conference Championship with a 15:56 mark helping his R-S Central squad take the team title as well. The senior successfully defends his conference championship.
Madeline Hill - Cuthbertson
Hill was victorious at the Reagan Quad Invite at Ivey Redmon posting a mark of 18:39. This was Hill's third straight victory this season.
Justin Hayes - Panther Creek
Hayes led from start to finish at the Broughton, Green Level, Panther Creek tri meet at WakeMed this weekend. His 15:56 time is a new personal best!
Abby Weber - Chapel Hill
Weber ran 18:39 to win the Red Ryder Shootout in her first taste of the state meet course of the season.
