Jacob Gallant is looking to lead this Mount Tabor squad to a 3A State Championship and does so as one of the top returners in the 3A division. Gallant finished 3rd in last season's Cross Country State Championship behind now-graduates George Hotelling and Ben Verchick in what was a breakout performance.
His 15:53 personal best for 5k came last season at the State Championship! He kept that momentum going into Indoor Track where he placed 2nd in the 3200m run in a personal best time of 9:26. He had another runner-up performance at the Outdoor State Championship in the 3200m.
Gallant is a big moment runner and all eyes will be on him for his senior season. Gallant is our top 3A Runner in our subjective rankings. He should get stronger as the season goes on as last year indicated, and he has the potential to be the states best runner at the end of 2019.
