Boys Premier 1600
Anton Idhammar (Cary) came up just short of the win in the Mile last weekend at the Bojangles Classic as Brent Bailey (Ocean Lakes, VA) narrowly outleaned him across the line. This week he'll face off against Coleman Mitchell (Cary Academy). Mitchell set his PR here last year clocking 4:18.72 taking 5th. Idhammar holds a PR from last weekend of 4:17.02. They are the only two boys in the field sub 4:20, but there will be a strong contingent looking for a breakout 1600 performance. Alec Atteberry (Apex Friendship), George Hotelling (East Chapel Hill) and Ryan Kemper (Green Hope) should all be able to contend for the win tomorrow, and their current 1600 PRs below likely don't show what they're fully capable of.
