Girls Premier 1600
We've seen two girls in this field run sub 5 in their high school careers in freshman Carmen Alder (Pinecrest) who ran 4:58.58 outdoors, and ran sub 5 indoors up at The Armory converting to 4:57 and Katherine Dokholyan (Chapel Hill) running a converted 4:57.51 in 2017. Alder has been a star on the track and proved it by running 10:36.58 taking down an elite field at Raleigh Relays. The race will also feature hometown favorite Calli Parlier (Apex) who would lost by .3 seconds to Alessandra Rodriguez (Green Hope) last year. Parlier has run 5:04.78 for the 1600, and has the potential to crack 5 minutes this season. Olivia Frazier (Cary Academy) and Shannon Sefton (Panther Creek) have also been under 5:10 and should be able to contend for the win tomorrow.
