We spent time putting together our own DMR rankings based off athletes season best marks from the 2017-2018 Indoor and Outdoor Track season. The way we put together the legs on each team is pulling the top two 1600 runners from each school, putting the faster athlete on the anchor leg, then the second fastest athlete on the 1200 leg. In order to convert 1600 times to approximate 1200 marks we used a conversion calculator, which gave us an approximate formula to convert the marks to what that athlete could run for a 1200 based off their 1600 PR. From there we filled in the teams best leftover 800 and 400 meter runners.
When putting these together there were some clear spots where seasons best marks didn't put together the ideal team together for each school, but we wanted to keep the rankings constant from out database. We'll see a lot of the schools listed on these rankings debut a DMR this weekend either tomorrow night at Friday Night Lights, or Saturday at Apex Relays!
