Carmen Alder (Franklin Elite/West Pine Middle School) clocked a PR in the 13-14 3000m Run Saturday morning running a 10:24.70! Our conversion calculator puts that mark at about a 11:10.62 for 3200, which would be NC#12 for high schoolers this year. West Pine MS I believe goes to Pinecrest High School, and Alder will certainly be a force in the NCHSAA 4A next season as she'd be the 5th 3200 returner with that conversion! Also her younger sister Vanessa is a rising 7th grader who holds 1500 and 3000 PRs of 5:13.66 and 11:21. Vanessa clocked a 11:27.84 last weekend winning her 11-12 age group as well.
