Jack Ratterree got his start in running in a more unconventional way than most; he started out as a swimmer and then decided to take up triathlons. Once it came time for high school, his year-round swimming career came to an end and competitive running came into the picture. Jack quickly began to realize that running was his definite strength of the three events. Throughout high school he's maintained his triathlon training as a part of the training he does for Charlotte Latin's track and cross country teams. Whether Jack decides to pursue a future in triathlons or to focus solely on running is still unknown, but he's sure to have plenty of options when the time comes to decide!
