Huge Team & Individual Battles To Take Place At Wendy's Tomorrow

Girls Open

The Girls Open race looks to be a showcase of South Carolina with 9 of the top 10 girls being from SC with Anna Petr (Mallard Creek) as the lone NC girl in this field up front.  Hilton Head has three in the top 5 in our virtual meet powered by Sarah Cooke, Tori Herman and Isabel Muehleman.  Cooke holds the best time on the year in the field of 18:54.  Madison Ellis (Eastside) has also been under 19 this year running 18:59, while Katie Pou (Nation Ford) has run 19:01 and is yet to lose in what looks to be a breakout freshman year.

Hilton Head looks to be dominant in the team scores placing their entire top 7 in the top 20 of the virtual meet.  Broughton girls will battle with 4A East foes Hoggard.  While the Capitals don't have a standout star, they have a gap of 20 seconds from their 1 through 5 with their 6/7 just behind that.  I expect this to be a strong showing for Broughton as they look to be a top 2 team in 4A this fall.
