NEW HANOVER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
Laney is proud to host the 2018 New Hanover County Cross Country Championships at Olsen Park in Wilmington, NC All area high schools will be opening the 'championship' season October 11h at 4:00P.
Top teams this season, as well as top individuals will be recognized immediately following the meet thanks to real time results provided by Go Time Race Management.
The meet is open to any educational institution that is based in New Hanover County, including charter, private and home-school organizations.
Thanks, in advance, to all of the coaches, parents and athletes that help make the Wilmington area cross country community second to none.
SCHEDULE
There are seven middle schools
participating. Clubs are not allowed. Private schools within the
county are permitted. Athletes must be in 6th - 8th grade.
Middle School Awards: Top 10 medal in
each race with a team champion trophy that is passed each year to the new
County Champion.
High School Awards: The same as in the past
few years.
3:30 PM Middle School Boys -- 20 Minutes or Faster (Season Best)
4:00 PM Middle School Girls - 20 Minutes or Faster (Season Best)
4:30 PM Varsity Boys --10 Athletes Only
5:00 PM Varsity Girls - 10 Athletes Only
5:30 PM Boys JV -- Unlimited Athletes
6:00 PM Girls JV -- Unlimited Athletes
