Meet Information

In talking with coaches a few years ago, it became apparent that there was a desire to assemble the best in the area & have a local meet with a high level of competition to: generate better performances, serve as a dress rehearsal for the State Meet & for bragging rights as most of our other local meets are not scored.
Each of the first two years, we had athletes from 31 schools, but because athletes have to qualify for this meet, numbers are manageable and the meet runs pretty quickly.

The meet is open to all schools within a 50 mile radius of downtown Charlotte. Athletes must be part of school teams and all teams must be recognized by the school (No unattached athletes or athletes from schools with no official Indoor Track team). NCHSAA & private schools that fit this criteria are welcome.
The meet will be timed using FAT & all races are timed finals. Track & runways are in good condition & were resurfaced in July 2012. 2 horizontal jump pits. Team trophies to the top 2 teams & medals to the top 3 in each event will be given.
$10/athlete & $12/relay team up to $70/combined (boys & girls) team. $5 spectator entry fee. Entries close at 9:00 PM January 27 & are done through www.athletic.net. Checks made out to: Weddington High School & sent to Rick Spencer, Weddington High School, 4901 Monroe-Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28104
All entries must hit the qualifying mark & be verifiable from the 2014-15 Indoor Track season. We will check. Qualifying standards:
