Southeast Guilford/ Greater Neuse River Polar Bear Results Handtimed but not Converted?

CoachGeorge It looks like the Southeast Guilford Polar Bear results were handtimed but did not get converted. Almost all of the results are even tenths which seems odd. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software was used at the meet which may be assumed to be FAT. I guess they could be FAT times but the odds are astronomical that all but one of the 55M and 300M times are even tenths. And the 12/14 Greater Neuse River Conference Polar Bear were input using Race 3 software and although they are entered in hundredths, I did not think that Race 3 was a FAT timing system. It looks like they may have been handtimed to the hundredth and input. The 11/30 meet there was handtimed and converted. I know that you expect handtimes to be submitted in a rounded up format and the .24 is added automatically.

@jrayfield You're correct, I believe both of those were hand-timed. I simply needed to click "hand" when processing them, and obviously didn't. I'm a bit distracted, due to the fact that we're somewhere south of North Carolina and in a place that features a certain rodent with large, round ears. :) I'll fix them ASAP.

@pcastell I think that the only meet results that count for NC State qualification purposes are those on Milesplit. The new rule I believe is that all meet qualifying results have to be turned in to Milesplit by the meet director within 24 hours of the event. There is a $50 fine ( and their team is disqualified from the 2012 NC State meet) if they do not do so as per the memo sent to coaches on Oct 28, 2011 included below: New procedure memo- http://ncpreptrack.net/111028IndoorTrackInformation.pdf Meet director tutorial- http://nc.milesplit.com/articles/76959-tutorial-meet-directors

@pcastell I will be posting updated lists of all state meet qualifiers this week (for 4A) and next week (for 1A/2A/3A). If you are a subscriber, you can search the database at any time by following the "Stats" tab from the red navigation bar on any page. If not, you can refer back to these articles to see what was already published, although several meets have been added since they were written. http://nc.milesplit.com/articles/77433-boys-1a-2a-3a-state-meet-qualifiers http://nc.milesplit.com/articles/77432-girls-1a-2a-3a-state-meet-qualifiers http://nc.milesplit.com/articles/77138-4a-boys-state-qualifiers http://nc.milesplit.com/articles/77137-4a-girls-state-qualifiers You can find individual qualifying meets by clicking on the "Coverage" tab, then choosing "Meet Results." If anything is missing, let me know.

@pcastell Yes, there was a lot of missing information. If you coach one of the teams, or if you're a parent of one of the athletes, you can email me with complete information for the relevant athletes and I'll correct the results (and update the performances, too). My email is in the bottom left corner of every page here on NCRunners.

All of the meets at Southeast Guilford are handtimed. If any appear to be FAT, I simply failed to convert to the highest tenth before sending the results to Milesplit. I will try to make sure to watch closer for that in the future before I send to Milesplit. Coach Tyre Southeast Guilford

@coachtyre It was fine on your end, I just didn't process them right (they didn't get the 0.24 added) on my end. Your results were great and easy to work with, thanks!
