Jayln Alexander ran 11:58 for 2nd in the 2 Mile at the NCRunners Middle School XC Festival which was just 3 seconds behind Holliday who took the win. She has run 10:48 this season for 3000m alongside her 11:58 2 Mile seasons best. Alexander was one of the better 7th graders last year running 11:32 in cross country for 3000m and 12:46 for 2 Miles. On the track she threw down marks of 2:25 for 800m, 5:16 for 1600m and 11:56 for 2 Miles. Her 800m was her best performance where she took 5th at the NCRunners Middle School All-State Meet against a strong field.
