Elliott Salinas (Andrews Middle School)
8th grader Elliott Salinas has shown incredible improvement over the last year going from winning the 7th grade JV race at the NCRunners Middle School XC Festival in 2023 in 11:41 to finishing as Runner-Up last weekend in 10:45. Salinas holds a personal best of 10:26 this XC season for the 2 Mile. He made great improvement on the track during his 7th-grade season last spring running 2:21 for 800m, 4:54 for 1600m and 10:44 for the 3200m. He'll join his older brother O'Malley Salinas on the Andrews HS team next spring who was the NCHSAA 1A XC State Champion as a freshman in 2022.
