Gabriella Holliday (Carolina Liberty/Gray's Creek Middle School)
7th grader Gabriella Holliday kicked past Jayln Alexander and Grace Krafchek to win a tight battle for the Girls Championship in 11:55 at the NCRunners Middle School XC Festival on Saturday. Holliday has shown great improvement over the season after taking 5th earlier in the year in 11:39 for 3K at Hare & Hounds. She has taken great strides forward in her running career over the last month after running 2:47 and 5:20 for 800m and 1500m on the track last summer. I expect we see some fast marks from Holliday as her 7th grade cross country season wraps up over the next month.
