Boys Program of the Year - Christ School
Christ School was on another level this whole school year. It started during cross country season, winning the NCISAA 4A team state title, while putting four in the top nine. Rocky Hansen and Dawson Reeves led the pack, going 1-2 overall. Eyob Gill and Kazhi Sealey finished 7th and 9th respectively. They scored only 36 points, winning by 20 points.
In fact, their whole squad of seven finished in the top 23 places. They return their 2-3-5-7 runners from the championship team.
During outdoor season, they finished runner-up at the NCISAA DI State Championship, totaling 102 points.
Hansen swept the 800m-1,600m-3,200m, with Reeves finishing 3rd in the 1,600m and 2nd in the 3,200m.
Brendan Regan took 4th in the 300mH, Anthony Richardson was runner-up in high jump, Quinton Cancel was 4th in long jump and 5th in triple jump, Tony Murphy was 4th in triple jump, and Calvin Williams and Jordan Edgecomb went 3-5 in the shot put.
To top it off, the Greenies won the 4x800m state title in NC No. 11 all-time fashion, 7:47.86.
Their DMR team of Hansen, Reeves, Sealey, and Regan won the Penn Relays Championship, as well.
Hansen also set the state records in the Cross Country 5,000m, Indoor 1K, Indoor and Outdoor Mile, and Outdoor 2-Mile.
