How Each NCHSAA Team State Champion Got The Job Done

NCHSAA 2A Boys - T.W. Andrews

A battle between T.W. Andrews and Owen went down to the wire. T.W. Andrews secured 2 points in the 4x400m to hold off Owens 65-63. Owen got the win in the 4x400m, so if T.W. Andrews did not score, they would not have won. Correy McManus and Ja'Neil Harris put on a show in the 100m and 200m. They went 1-2 in the 100m with McManus picking up the win. However, Harris won gold of his own in the 200m. Brenden Miller added a 6th place finish in the 400m. They totaled 31 points in the sprints. They secured 18 more in the hurdles, thanks to a 3-5-6 finish in the 110m hurdles by Jeremiah King, John Shearin, and Zaman Timmons. Shearin took 4th place in the 300m hurdles, earning all-state. Timmons also finished 5th in the triple jump. To top it off, they took home the win in the 4x100m relay.
