Top NC Athletes Ready To Make The Trip To All-American in SC

Boys Preview

Three of the top five seeded boys in the 100m dash are from #TeamNC: Terrell Robinson Jr. (Mount Tabor), Jaylin Milton-Hall (Mountain Island Charter School), and David Lampkin III (Mallard Creek).

Milton-Hall sits NC No. 1 this season, while Robinson Jr. is the defending NCHSAA 3A 100m dash, NCHSAA 4A 55m and 300m state champion.

Robinson Jr. is doing double duty in the sprint events, as he is the No. 3 seed in the 200m, as well. Cuthbertson duo Reece Morgan and Killian Fahy, alongside Providence Day's Brunner Williams all sit in the top 7 seeds in the 200m.

Ardrey Kell's Jamier Moten is the defending NCHSAA 400m state champ and is the top seed in the event. He holds a personal best of 47.94. The meet record in the event is 46.34. Fahy will be doubling back in the 400m, and joining him is Providence Day School's Bryce Scott.

The 800m will be tight up front and is headlined by Christ School sophomore Dawson Reeves, who holds a 1:55.70 personal best. CATA's Emanuel Williams, who is NC No. 3 in the 800m thus far, will be toeing the line alongside Reeves. With them is Weddington junior Caden Townshend, who is NC No. 5 this season.

Patrick Gibbons (Ardrey Kell) is the top seed in the mile run, and leads a loaded field. He currently sits NC No. 4 this season in the 1,600m. Reeves will also be doubling in this race, and he enters as the No. 4 seed. Nathan Geyer (DH Conley), Conner Inman (Mount Tabor), Elliott Kleckner (South Central), Gavin Sweeney (Lake Norman), and Ethan Snyder (Marvin Ridge) are all in the elite mile run as well.

Kleckner is doubling back in the 3,200m alongside his brother, Cooper. They sit as the 4-5 seeds. Right behind them is Weddington's Isaac Clark, who is seeded No. 6. Austin Brotemarkle (Forestview), Dominic Conroy (Porter Ridge), Mount Tabor's Douglas Gledhill and Davis Potter, Harper Clark (Cleveland) and Weddington's Sam Bland round out the field from #TeamNC.

In the hurdles Brandon Benitez (Porter Ridge) and Xavier Branker (Ardrey Kell) are in the top 6 seeds in both the 110mH and 400mH.

#TeamNC looks to really dominate the relays, with three of the top four seeds in the 4x100m belonging to the tar heel state. Cuthbertson leads the field as the top seed, followed by Charlotte Christian (No. 2) and Providence Day School (No. 4). Mallard Creek also sits as the No. 6 seed.

The Cavaliers of Cuthbertson are back in the 4x400m as the No. 4 seed, and the 4x800m as the No. 9 seed.

The top two seeds in the 4x800m belong to Weddington and Mount Tabor.

In the jumps, Cameron Snead (West Johnston) is a top ten seed in both the triple and long jump. Jared Harrell (Panther Creek) joins Snead in the triple jump, as Harrell sits as the No. 2 seed.

The high jump is headlined by US No. 1, Kyzaiah Stone (Cleveland). The NC State commit broke the Apex Lions' Relays meet record last week, clearing 7-0.5.

Drew Evans (Lake Norman) is No. 5 seed in the pole vault.
