Relays
Cuthbertson girls sit US No. 2 this season in the 4x800m clocking 9:14.44 at Mondo Elite. The state meet record of 9:25 is definitely in jeopardy. Scheduled to be the four legs of the relay are Bell, Lillian Nasta, Lassiter, and J. Preisano. Mount Tabor could challenge them if they have a great day.
Weddington boys broke 8:00 in the 4x800m this season, but will it be enough to hold off Charlotte Catholic, Mount Tabor, Green Hope, and Chapel Hill.
In the girls 4x200m Jackson leads Wakefield in a loaded field. They will battle with Hickory Ridge, Parkland, and Marvin Ridge. The same four teams will face off in the 4x400m, but Jackson is on the starting list. Toss in Cuthbertson to the 4x400m mix as well.
Cuthbertson boys are chasing the state meet record of 1:27.87. They ran 1:27.97 earlier this season.
On the boys' side in the 4x400m Cuthbertson holds the best seed of 3:28.80. Chapel Hill, Cardinal Gibbons, Mount Tabor, Green Hope, and Corinth Holders are all very well in striking range.
