2. Carmen Alder Goes 4:48 For Full Mile
Carmen Alder (Pinecrest/Franklin Elite) has been a superstar in NC for the last four years and she showed why this weekend. Alder was running in the final section of the championship mile, looking to dip under 4:50 in the full mile for the second time in her career. After a slow start, Alder used the middle half of the race to push up to the leaders, and sat on them until the end. She blazed a sub 70.00 final 400 on route to running 4:48, matching her previous personal best and already NC #4 All-Time Indoor mile.
