Girls Middle School 1600m
This years Blue Ridge Classic hosted it's first ever middle school events. The 100m, 1600m and Shot Put were contested. Ella Kepple (A.C. Reynolds MS) and Katherine Hopkins (Lincolnton MS) posted a back and forth battle throughout the entire 1600m. Hopkins tried to push past her down the final 800m, but Kepple slammed the door shut edging Hopkins in 5:41.88 to 5:42.17.
