Gabriele Cunningham (Mallard Creek, NC State) - 60m Hurdles, 60m Dash
Gabby Cunningham was a great dual sprinter/hurdler back in high school, and she's brought that skill to the collegiate level. She's qualified for the 60m Dash and 60m Hurdles this weekend at the NCAA Championships. She's run 8.09 in the 60m Hurdles, good for 12th in the NCAA, and 7.25 in the 60m Dash, good for 13th in the NCAA.
She's shown big time improvement since high school. She held PRs in those events of 7.58 and 8.52. Cunningham was an All-American in high school in the 60m Hurdles and surprisingly never won a NCHSAA State Championship.
