Weddington boys crushed the the Bojangles Classic meet record set by Lexington in 2012 of 7:51. Will Mazur led off in the relay handing off in the top 3, while Jake Toomey brought the Warriors to the lead as he handed off to Jackson O'Hara. O'Hara held the lead despite a challenge from Cuthbertson and others over the third leg. Once he handed off to Kyle Durham it was clear there weren't many runners capable of running him down with the lead O'Hara gave him. Durham lead the Warriors to a new NC#1, US#3, Bojangles Classic Meet Record and School Record.
