Proved why they're at the top of the state with a strong showing at Great American taking 2nd. Though they ran well it seems like this groups capable of much more

Beat Broughton, Cary, Chapel Hill and Weddington in the weekend merge. Their fifth has improved a lot through the season giving them a big bump, but they still need improvement at 3/4/5.

Stephen Larson not finishing at Wendy's hurt their weekend merge rank as they don't have depth beyond their 5th. Still high on these guys

They were second to Cary at Wendy's in the open race without JJ Malach. I think their 5th man improves significantly by the time November gets here

Another strong week beating Broughton in the boys open race at Wendy's. Will challenge for the podium this fall.

Have had two good weeks and it doesn't seem right to move them down. Beat Weddington last week who had a runner DNF. Came in behind Broughton and Cary in the weekend merge. Need to pull someone from their depth to emerge as a solid fifth man.

Had a lowkey weekend winning the Pirate Invitational. Think they're right there with Cary at years end.

North Lincoln impressed last weekend. The 2A school ranks 7th in the weekend merge with 5 boys under 17. Though the 2A title isn't a lock yet with First Flight impressing as well

Not a completely off day for Northern at GA, just need more out of their 4/5 in a big race like that

Massive performance at Great American. 11th in the weekend merge placing ahead of Northern Guilford. One guy away from being really strong

18th in weekend merge. If Provost is out it really hurts them, though the squad ran well without him last week. Still think they're a sleeper for the podium if things come together

Not sure what to think of this team. 19th in the weekend merge, but it's hard to count Gibbons out

A team that surprised us last week coming in 14th in the weekend merge. Came on strong at the end of last season and look to be doing the same.

A team to watch. Their times have been impressive, but want to see them in a head to head matchup against top teams. Certainly favorites for 2A along with NL

Think they were shorthanded at Great American last weekend

Green Hope is defiinitely solid at #1, but teams from 2 through 7 could interchange every week! We're going to see some awesome battles as the season comes to a close.
