Boys Virtual Meet | Girls Virtual Meet
In the second straight week we should see strong performances going down at Hagan Stone at tomorrow's Hagan Stone Classic. 15:31 man Dakota Mendenhall (Forbush) headlines the field and looks to be racing the clock with his closest competitor Ben Verchick schedule to run at Great American. This race last fall was Mendenhall's first sub 16 last year as he took 2nd overall, but he'll be a heavy favorite tomorrow. Justin Todd (Ledford), Jordan Richardson (Northern Nash) and Ethan Frey (NCSSM) will all look to challenge Mendenhall and run their first sub 16 performance. Durham Academy look to be the team favorites on the boys side let be senior Ethan Goldman and junior Neil Mosca who I'd expect to finish near the top 5.
On the girls side Emma Kincaid (Grimsley), Sophie Faircloth (Reagan) and Anna-Kathryn Kilby (Forbush) will battle for the individual crown tomorrow. Kincaid is coming off a breakout performance two weeks back at Hagan Stone, and will look to drop a fast time on a local course. Kilby and Faircloth have been running well and both should contend for the win this weekend. Each of these three have run just under 18:45 this year. Also Madeline Shook is entered and should mix it up with the top girls this weekend. Shook holds a PR of 18:44 from last year and we should see where she is at fitness wise this weekend. Reagan girls will battle with South Country High School(VA) in what should be a tight team battle. The Raider's have a very strong top 3 even without their #2 girl Ainsley Cooper and will look to hold off stout competition.
