4 1	Carmen Alder NC Pinecrest	1st 19:39.40 @ SAC XC Meet # 3	Went out hard at adidas contending for the win and suffered over the last half. Still think she's the real deal and we'll see that this week at Hagan Stone.
5 1	Sloan Walter NC Cardinal Gibbons	11th 18:43.50 @ Trinity / Valkyrie Invitational (HS)	11th at Valkyrie last week and hard to judge where she's at without knowing the course. But I expect her to lead Gibbons this season and contend for 4A title
6 14	Izzy Evely NC Lake Norman Charter School	2nd 18:31.69 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Evely has placed 5th at adidas and 2nd at Hare & Hounds with a seasons best of 18:31 certainly deserving a high spot on this list.
7 2	Calli Doan-Parlier NC Apex	7th 18:39.00 @ adidas XC Challenge	Parlier is way ahead of where she was at this point last season, and I expect her to only continue to improve as the season goes on.
8 5	Elise Wright NC T.C. Roberson	8th 18:39.40 @ adidas XC Challenge	Wright had looked like a star early on this season and proved it by running 18:39 at Adidas.
9 2	Madeline Hill NC Cuthbertson High School	6th 18:42.93 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Hill has been a star this year taking 2nd at FNL and 5th at Hare & Hounds last weekend
10 9	Sarah Parrish NC Providence	9th 18:39.70 @ adidas XC Challenge	Parrish has taken big steps forward since last season and looks to continue the tradition of Providence having a strong #1 girl.
11 N/R	Lindsey Ickes NC Forsyth Country Day School	4th 18:36.80 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Ickes fell out of the rankings early in the year, but after running 18:36 at Hare & Hounds she jumps back into the rankings
12 2	Jenna Reiter NC West Carteret	1st 18:51.00 @ White Oak Conference Kick-Off	Will continue to impress this fall without seeing big competition.
13 5	Sophie Faircloth NC Reagan	1st 19:52.70 @ CPC Meet #2	Struggled at Adidas after a strong first meet at Providence. I expect the times to come around.
14 7	Katherine Dokholyan NC Chapel Hill	24th 19:16.90 @ adidas XC Challenge	Similar to Faircloth, seemed to have an off day at Adidas, but she's proved she's still got it with a Jungle Run win. We'll see what she can do versus Alder at Greensboro this week.
15 N/R	Bailey Reutinger NC West Forsyth	11th 18:42.80 @ adidas XC Challenge	Finally had the big race she's been looking for at Adidas clocking 18:42. Should continue to progress throughout the year

18 8	Anna Bristle NC Parkwood	8th 18:47.39 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Bristle has contender against some strong competition this year and posted many impressive marks.
19 4	Sarah Bechtel NC Weddington High School	4th 18:43.40 @ Union County XC Championship	Has been a big leader for Weddington leading the pack at big races
20 14	Anna-Kathryn Kilby NC Forbush	10th 19:05.97 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Had two "off" races after a strong start. I think after some down time Kilby will revamp and finish the year strong.
21 0	Lila Peters NC Sanderson	12th 18:46.80 @ adidas XC Challenge	Peters is continuing to improve each race she runs. Peters is already a 40 seconds faster than 2016 through 3 races.
22 10	Marissa Bishop NC Cardinal Gibbons	49th 19:38.10 @ Trinity / Valkyrie Invitational (HS)	Likely an off race at Valkryie and I'd expect her to bounce back.
23 5	Kelsey Vogel NC Green Hope	9th 18:51.68 @ Hare & Hounds Invitational (at McAlpine Park)	Vogel has been a strong #1 for Green Hope and will be needed to score low team points for them on the big stages.
24 1	Makayla Obremski NC Topsail	1st 19:47.06 @ Bo Run	Big win at the Bo Run this weekend as the freshman continues to impress.
