No Tar On Their Heels at UNC This Weekend: Eastern Challenge Recap

Boys' Sprints

Ryan Clark (Banneker, GA) is on a barnstorming tour of North Carolina that started Saturday and won't end until next weekend. He turned in the nation's best time in the 55 Dash, 6.25 US #1, and then came back to crank out a 33.94 in the 300 that slots him in at US #6 after the results from Virginia Tech and the Armory came in. In the 55 he pulled Nyheim Hines (Garner) to a NC #1 US #6 NC #15 All-Time mark of 6.32, while Daniel Estrada (Platinum Sports) dipped under 6.40 for the first time this season. The same effect benefited Dylan Peebles (Wakefield) in the 300, as he moved up to NC #2 with his 35.01. Marcus Krah (Hillside) moved up to US #2 with a 7.25 in the 55 Hurdles, but his best work was arguably on the infield (later in this recap), and he will have a great showdown with US #3 Charles Graham (Phoebus) next weekend. T.J. Bleichner (Fuquay-Varina) won the 500 in 1:06.34, while Terry Sanford clocked 1:33.90 to take the 4x200.
