Interview: Ian Milder
Highlights
-
After setting the pace for his team, Ian Milder (Mount Tabor) took command in the second mile and powered away for the individual title, running 16:10 on the challenging West Forsyth course.
-
Behind Milder came three R.J. Reynolds runners led by Dustin Sneed, putting the Demons in the driver's seat for the team title. Mount Tabor would rally to win the #4 and #5 runners, but it wasn't enough to overcome that initial deficit, and R.J. Reynolds won the championship by 2 points.
-
As expected, Kayla Montgomery went straight to the front of the girls race and never looked back, clocking 18:46 and winning by almost 30 seconds over teammate Vanessa Bateson.
-
Reagan's top 5 girls stayed together throughout the race, finishing 5th through 9th to solidly secure the team title. Mount Tabor held off a strong finish by West Forsyth for second place.
