Highlights:
- Patrick Sheehan (Lake Norman) was the early pacesetter, but the pace he set turned out to be brutal (sub-4:55 for the first mile) on a course that takes the runners over a significant hill twice in the last two miles. Unfortunately, the South boys were unable to follow up last year's team win, as they faded back somewhat during the middle of the race. Still, the three North Carolina boys proved that they belonged: Ben Huffman (Providence Day) finished 22nd, Ian Milder (Mount Tabor) 25th, and Sheehan 30th. To cap off the weekend for Huffman, he found out on Friday that he is going to Harvard!
