Green Hope's middle distance dominance should carry them to another state title on Saturday. With 31 of their 64 projected points coming in the 800 and 4x800, and another 16 in the 1600, Green Hope's points will come in bunches. Including the relay, 53 of those projected points come from their distance squad. That will be tough to match.
Cary is the next closest threat with 46 projected points. Their points are slightly more spread out across events, but Anton Idhammar in the 800 and 1600 could help make up ground on Green Hope by displacing some of their guys as he vies for titles in both events.
Garner is tied with Cary, and their hopes ride on Randolph Ross and Rondell Terry to deliver 36 of their 46 points. Ross is a threat for meet MVP, and has the opportunity to deliver his entire team some extra hardware.
